Where: Brigitte and Don Perrine’s home: 3659 Jackson Pointe Drive, Louisville TN 37777 Mile marker 626 on Ft. Loudon Lake. Don’s phone: 865-963-9550 Don’s email: DAPerrine@tds.net

How to come: Come by boat or by car. Our dock has limited 30 and 50 amp power plus water. We can accommodate a large number of both day and overnight boats at our dock, and our neighbor’s docks can accommodate any overflow.

What:

  • New Member Orentation

  • Games: Competition with amazing prizes for the winners. We’ll have boule competition, corn hole competition and horseshoe competition

  • Dinner: It will be potluck with utensils, plates, plastic cups (please no glass in the pool area) and water being provided by the club. Also, bring your favorite beverage for the event.

Bonus: For boaters wishing to overnight at our dock, we’ll have a group dinner with a social hour starting at 5:30. Dinner will be pot luck with attendees providing their own drinks; Don and Brigitte will provide a main dish. There will be a group breakfast the following morning.
Directions by car: We assume everyone has a GPS.

Directions by water (see the photo below):

  • Approaching from the south (heading upstream), Mariner’s Pointe condos will be to port and Louisville Park and Marina entrance to starboard as you approach Copperhead Light at mile market 625.6

  • Our house and dock is to starboard (east side of the lake) 0.4 miles upstream from Copperhead Light. The house is easily identified because it is mainly stone with two turrets; the dock is long with raised pilings and no roof.

  • Clear Copperhead Light and then follow a northeasterly line from the end of the point to port, which is immediately upstream from the Mariner’s Pointe condos, to our dock. Following this line carries a minimum of 11 to 16 feet of water, depending on the time of year. This course heading is ~45 degrees magnetic.

  • There is a shallow bank or shoal about 500’ northwest of our dock; it extends from the shore of the house with the red tile roof to a point nearly straight out from our dock. At low water, this area should be given a wide berth. The end of the shoal is about 200’ west of our dock; so, the channel for maneuvering is about 200’ wide between the end of our dock and the end of the shoal.

  • If coming from the north (downstream), stay in the main channel until you pass the red nun to your port that is just downstream of the imaginary line extending from our dock straight out into the lake. Then follow a northeasterly course to our dock.
